QUESTION: I have a 97 yzf 1000 thunderace. Is it the same as a 98 r1 and will 98 r1 swingarm exstentions fit the thunderace. thanks
ANSWER: It's unlikely that it would fit on that bike. It wasn't made for it, however it has never been test fit on it so we honestly don't know if it would or wouldn't fit. Due to the model change in the bike, the swingarm is probably different. If you'd like to check with you local Yamaha dealership they may be able to provide more information.

QUESTION: can i install this extension on the yzf750 ? i need some extension like this i think thunderace is the same like mine yzf750 . if u dont know it will be fine when u give me the measurement then i check if its possibel to install ... thank u and greetings from germany
ANSWER: Those extensions are specifically made for the bikes that it lists & we do not know if they fit the 750. Its something here we've never tested, so I cant say that they would or wouldn't. Occasionally we come across situations like this & a part will end up fitting on a bike it wasn't intended for, but many times it also does not fit. I do not have specific measurements for the part, but I would check with a local bike shop & see if you can find out how similar your swingarm is to one of the bike's it is listed for. If it turns out to have the same measurements or even be the same swingarm, then it should work. If its off at all, it likely wont fit.
|
QUESTION: Are you able to leave the swingarm extensions on all the time (i.e. non aggressive cruising the streets use) safely? thx
ANSWER: you will have limitations.
