The Q&A on this Product
QUESTION:  Im looking into picking up these clip-ons but i have 2 questions. 1. Are these clip-ons sold in pairs. and 2. Are they available in a 1" bar instead of a 7/8 bar. thx Robert
ANSWER:  There is a 1" bar available for harleys. The price is $30 dollars on top of the price of kit.
QUESTION:  My fitment is on a 2003 Moto Guzzi LeMans Rosso Coras, W/ Ohlin gold USD forks. They have the blue 17MM preload nut. I measured the top of the fork with a caliper, it is 54MM, non-tapered. Do you think this clip-on would work? THX-
ANSWER:  It sounds like it will....I have not seen the LeMans, but from the information you provided it seems like they should work perfectly.
QUESTION:  Will these be able to clip on to my '05 XB12s as well? If only 2/3 of the clip is grabbing...is that dangerous? Do you include some sort of a shim to make up for it? I'm not sure what a "pinch bolt" is. Also...will any mods have to be made in order to get these to fut proper?
ANSWER:  You should always have at least two bolts fully engaged with the clipon. 2/3 Sounds a bt shy. If you have any questions, always refer to a professional mechanic. Clipons are not model specific and you have to know what you are doing to install them. The fork taper on the Buell is why we added a 3rd bolt on the 54mm clamps, to give the proper clamping force. You need to follow the instructions and test the clipons for slippage, as you would on any other bike. I have not looked at the 05 XB12, but the older XB's did not require modifications - some the factory team riders used our clipons for a time.
QUESTION:  What is the down-angle of these clipons, or is there a down-angle?
ANSWER:  Seven degrees the same as stock.
QUESTION:  i have a 2001 buell x-1 lightning, and am despratly trying to bring it up to snuff. i love the fact that with your setup i wont have to take apart the top of the forks. please tell me if you have a set that would work for my bike and ill happily pick up a set. thanks tom
ANSWER:  Hello, We don't have a listing for the fork tube size on a Lightning. The Firebolt takes 54's. Measure with vernier calipers your upper fork tube where the clipons would be mounted (the clamps are 1-1/2" wide/high) and see what you get. We have all sizes in stock. For example if the reading is 53.7 you would take 54's.
QUESTION:  i have a 2003xb9r. will i need a new top tree along with your clip-ons? the angle of my bars is the problem. does tour clip-on change the angle(s) of the bar?
ANSWER:  The XB9 is a rather special case where the bar is incorporated into the top clamp. You will not need to replace the clamp, the bars will go below the clamp. However, the Buell is an interesting case in that the clipon can only grab the upper fork tube with about 2/3 of the available clamping area due to the slow taper that starts about an inch below the top clamp. We added an extra pinch bolt to help make the clipon grab the fork better, which worked well for the racers who used it. The factory bikes use our clipons, but each rides needs to look at their application individually to decide of they are comfortable with it . In the end, the clipons give the bars better down angle and bring them a bit closer to you - eliminating some of the long reach that certain riders do not like on the Buell
