| WOODCRAFT 36MM EX250 (88-04)/EX500 (87-93 ONLY) CLIP-ONS |
These trick CNC-machined towers will put your handlebars in a vastly better racing position by both lowering the bars and rotating them down to a rider-friendly 5 degree angle from their OEM straight across position. These risers are adjustable for sweep angle and will not interfere with either the stock fuel tank or gauge cluster.

| The Q&A on this Product |
|
|
| QUESTION: Will these fit the '08 EX250 Ninja? I need to be able to rotate the levers to a more natural position. |
| ANSWER: No - these are for the older model. The new bike takes a specific set made for that bike - part # 12-4537 |
|
| QUESTION: will these fit on a 92 Zx600R? the mounts look the same. Thanks |
| ANSWER: No, they are different |
|
| QUESTION: Can I attach my OEM bar ends to these clip-ons? |
| ANSWER: No, you cannot. Many aftermarket bar ends for GSXR's will fit. |
|
| QUESTION: Hello. Do these move the bars forward at all? I'm looking to get as far forward and down as possible given the 2007 250 fairing and tank. Will these combined with the rearsets give a 6-footer like myself a noticeably more stretched out position on the 250? Thanks for this great Q&A service. |
| ANSWER: No, they are lower - but not appreciably forward. They do allow you to adjust the "sweep" of the bars though, and in doing that you can move the ends of the bars an inch or two further away. |
|
| QUESTION: Will this clip on fit newer model ex250s |
| ANSWER: Yes, it will |
|
| QUESTION: Is there any drilling involved for the handlebar controls to fit on properly? I see that the controls have a little notch in the plastic to stay secure on the bars. |
| ANSWER: Yes, you need to put a hole in the bar for the locating pin. Other than that, there is no drilling or cutting involved. 15 minute installation with drilling the hole included. |
|
| QUESTION: Where can i find instructions on how to install the lowered risers for the ex250, or can you send me the instructions? |
| ANSWER: They install exactly as the OEM parts do. You can email Woodcraft: info@woodcraft-cfm.com |
|
| QUESTION: I was wondering how much these lower the bars from the stock 250R's, thanks for your help. |
| ANSWER: Approximately 1/2" |
|
| QUESTION: I have a 06 500Ninja that is lowered 2.5 inches in the front. I have 40mm of fork exposed, could I not attach the clip-ons at this point? I am not having much luck with a lowered front/handle configeration |
| ANSWER: No, not this type of clipon riser. It is possible that a standard clipon (12-0136) would work, but you might have clearance issues with the tank and gauges. |
|
| QUESTION: dose domeone make a pair that will raise the ride hight (for my 06 r1) im 6'5" and i cant reach the bars when i sit up straight. the stock clipons seem to tilt downward so maybe even something that tils up a little. |
| ANSWER: No sorry we do not make any clipons that actual raise the hand position. |
|
| QUESTION: I have the EX250.By looking at the picture used for this model,it shows to attach to the tube not the triple. Can it be mounted to the tube also? |
| ANSWER: NO, thepicture must be wrong. This mounts exactly like the stock risers, but put your bars in a better position. |
|
| QUESTION: My wife has a 2005 Ninja 250 as a starter bike. She loves the bike but wants a more upright seating position. Will these risers give her what she's looking for? |
| ANSWER: No, they are lower....for performance purposes |
|
| QUESTION: Hi again,
Maybe if you show me a picture of the bottom then this would make more sence to me. After looking at the picture above I really can't tell what I am looking at. Do these bar risers fit on the very top? Can they slide up or down the fork tube if it was above the triple tree where the handle bars would be located?
Thanks again.
Ron |
| ANSWER: These fit and attach exactly like the stock bar risers. They are lower and have some down angle to them , but they are attached to the top triple clamp and cannot slide up & down. They are much more sporty than the stock risers. Regular 36mm clipons could do that, but I think that you would have clearance issues with the tank and gauges of you went that way. |
|
| QUESTION: My wife is looking for two things - clip ons and risers. These will obviously fit an EX250 Kaw Ninja 250 and the rise on the clip ons is how much? These look oval in the picture...are they round...must be? Everything else is straight forward. We are trying to lower her 2006 Ninja by 2 - 3 inches and will need to remove her current handle bars to do so. The lowering link for the rear is again straight forward.
Thanking you in advance for your help.
Ron |
| ANSWER: You cannot lower the bike 2-3 inches with these - you would need to use regular 36mm clipons and figure out how to deal with the interference issues you may have with the gauges and/or bodywork. |
|
| QUESTION: Do these risers come with the bars? |
| ANSWER: Yes |
|
| QUESTION: Hi,
I have a 1975 kawasaki Z1 (900cc). I was wondering if the Woodcraft 36mm EX250/500 Clip-on Risers could be used to rise the bars instead of lowering them. Would I be better off with the regular clip-ons or these ? And do the risers come on and off without front end disassembly as well ?
Thanks |
| ANSWER: No sorry they will not fit. They fit the models listed only. |
|
| QUESTION: Q: HOW CLOSE TO OEM CENTERLINE CAN THE BAR BE ADJUSTED ?. Q: CAN I USE MY OEM HAND CONTROLS AND FACTORY SWITCHIES ?. Q: WHAT IS THE LENGTH AND O.D. OF THE "BAR" OF THE EX500 RISER KIT ? |
| ANSWER: Yes, you can use your OEM controls and factory switches, no problem. The bars can be adjusted for width (the bars are 12" long and can be slid in/out as much as you like) - the bar OD is 7/8", which is the same as stock. The angle of the bars (looking at the clipons from the top of the bike) can also be adjusted +/- 5 degrees from stock. |
|
| QUESTION: will these lower the nose of the bike? |
| ANSWER: No, they lower the position of the clipon bars themselves. |
