QUESTION: How long would it take to get one? Your competitors have a 6 week wait on them and I have a race in 3 weeks. Thanks
ANSWER: We have clear (silver) and black anodized covers on the shelf.
|
QUESTION: how hard is it to change te pads
ANSWER: It is not too hard. First of all depending on the model bike you may be able to lean it so there is only a minimal amount of oil lost while removing the cover. If that is not the case either way you will have to check the oil level afterwards and replace any oil lost while working. Remove the skid plate and the hardware/o-rings. You will probably have to use a torch or heat gun because they are installed with permanent Loctite or Permabond. Clean everything up well so there will be a good seal. Replace with the new skid plate and NEW hardware/o-rings and tighten down bolts to industry standard torque. If you are not comfortable doing this take your bike to a franchised dealer or performance shop.
