This revolutionary material adds a new dimension to control heat with minimal clearance needed, only 3/16 inch! The Floor and Tunnel Shield is constructed utilizing an embossed 10 mil aluminum face bonded to a 1/8 inch composite fiberglass insulation and is backed with an aggressive adhesive that holds past 450 degree F. Capable of handling direct temperatures up to 1750 degrees f. Tough enough for under vehicle applications. This unique material can also block out up to 50% of unwanted road noise.

    The Q&A on this Product
    QUESTION:  If I apply this product to the bottom of a fiberglass, motorcycle luggage case, which has about 3" of clearance from the exhaust exit, would it provide adequate heat protection from scorching the case bottom and heat build-up on the interior side? Moose heat shield did not work. The case stil got scorched.
    ANSWER:  The Floor and Tunnel Shield will work great for your application. We have used it on hoods and firewalls behind turbo chargers that produce more heat and with a smaller air gap and it has worked perfect.
